| Primary Concepts : Angels |
| |
| Islam ascribes great importance
to angels (mala’ika in Arabic), who are believed to be
unseen creatures created by God to serve him on special missions.
The most important angel is Gabriel (Jibr’il), who according
to tradition was the intermediary between God and the Prophet
Muhammad during the revealing of the Quran. According to the
Quran, each person has two angels who serve as his or her guardians,
and who record his or her deeds, both good and bad (Surah 50:18). |
